At the end of August 2014 the camp of youth organizations "34th parallel" took place in Matkachi. The event was covered by youth TV program After school.
After school is a weekly youth TV show. It's broadcasted on TNT-Onego channel in the City of Petrozavodsk, Russia. Produced by NGO Youth Union Doroga.
Soon an international youth center will be established in Matkachi where the camp took place. The project is supported by the Karelia ENPI CBC program financed by the EU, Russia and Finland.
The show tells about one day of the camp, which was focused on the environmental education. Language: Russian with English subtitles.

We now present another article written after the January study visit of young journalists and bloggers from Karelia to Joensuu, Kontiolahti and Oulu.

Just imagine this: people celebrate winter holidays, having fun, a lot of spare time and endless opportunities of spending this free time. Straight-A students cannot partake in that! They are getting ready for exams and read all the books that are sitting there waiting to be read.
But we are not that kind of students to our happines. And in between two exams we had a chance to spend some quality time. As you may have guessed, we didn’t let that opportunity pass us by and we set off on a study trip to youth organizations from Oulu, Joensuu and Finland in general organized by Matka.ru project. And here we are: getting on a bus at the central station going to our first destination - Joensuu.
